Bienvenidos A La Familia, Jetstream
SUMMER NIGHTS WILL TOUR THE ROCK THIS YEAR
This year’s Summer Nights will be going on tour around Gibraltar. Cultural Services say they’re working closely with GibMedia the successful tenderer, with the events expected to take place in Chatham Counterguard, Governor’s Parade, John Mackintosh Square, Casemates Square and Ocean Village.
Organisers believe the move will allow regeneration of different areas in town, with establishments in other areas also benefitting from the event. The 2017 Summer nights will take place every Thursday and Saturday, from 13th July to the 12th of August.
May will see the jets embark on a mini tour of Spain to promote their ‘Sonic Graffiti’ EP with first dates announced in Malaga, and Seville followed shortly after. Stay tuned for more dates to come in Madrid, Mallorca, Jerez, Granada, Valencia & crossing borders to Portugal over the coming months.

Jetstream have successfully made it to the finals of theGibraltar International Song Festival (GISF)
This year’s edition of the Gibraltar International Song Festival (GISF) has – as on previous occasions – attracted hundreds of songs from authors and composers worldwide. The countries from which entries have been received are: Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Finland, France, Georgia, Gibraltar, Iceland, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, the Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and Venezuela.
Out of the hundreds of entries, 12 were selected ‘blind’ by the panel of judges, i.e. purely and simply on merit, as a result of which authors, composers and interpreters from the following countries will be participating in the GISF Finals Gala that will be held on Saturday, 6 May, at the Tercentenary Sports Hall: Chile, Cuba, Gibraltar, Iceland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and Venezuela.
The GISF 2017 has also announced that this year’s festival will be honoured with the presence of one of Spain’s best voices and biggest exports: the one and only David Bustamante. He will be performing his full concert from his latest tour “Amor de los dos”. The audience will be able to enjoy a one-and-a-half-hour show from this 14-sellout tour artist, who has now received over 15 platinum discs and sold more than a million albums in Spain and Latin America.
